LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Latest on the search of a Los Angeles lake (all times local):
3:45 p.m.
Los Angeles police say a body has been pulled from a lake where two people fell off a pedal boat in the middle of the night.
Officer Drake Madison says divers found the body Thursday afternoon at Echo Park Lake near downtown. He had no additional details.
Officials originally said that up to four people may have fallen into the water shortly before 4 a.m. They later said two people fell in, and one managed to swim to shore.
A helicopter with a large spotlight aided police divers in the early-morning search. The search later transitioned to a recovery effort.
Police suspect a group of people trespassed and took out two or three of the boats, which are typically locked up at dusk.

Emergency crews are searching for up to three people who may have fallen out of a pedal boat in the middle of the night on a lake in a Los Angeles park.
Officer Ray Brown, a police spokesman, says four men took a pedal boat at Echo Park around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, and authorities believe the boat capsized.
Brown says one of the men swam ashore and the three others were still missing.
A police helicopter with a large spotlight hovered over the lake before sunrise. Later in the morning, police divers were searching the lake on inflatable rafts and using a sonar tool to check the water.
Brown says investigators have not yet determined how the men were able to take the boat. Investigators are trying to determine if they stole the boat early Tuesday when the boat rental facility was closed.
