No really, Drudge, tell us how you feel.

The well-read Drudge Report site blasted a news headline that summed up the whole Michael Cohen-Records-Donald-Trump story that’s being circled by the buzzards in mainstream media with two short words: “THE RAT.”

That was below a photo of Cohen looking into a circle of clicking cameras.

The headline leads to a Daily Mail piece that opens with a quote from President Trump that goes like this: “What kind of a lawyer would tape a client?”

Good stuff; good question.

Trump went on, via Twitter: “So sad! Is this a first, never heard of it before?”

Trump then criticized the recording, first broadcast by CNN, for its abrupt-oh-so-abrupt ending.

“Why was the tape so abruptly terminated (cut),” he tweeted, “while I was presumably saying positive things? I hear there are other clients and many reporters that are taped — can this be so? Too bad!”

This, on the heels of Trump’s weekend tweets that called the idea of an attorney taping a client “totally unheard of” and “perhaps illegal.”

Meanwhile, the story has ratcheted in recent hours with the appearance of former Team Clinton friend and Cohen attorney Lanny Davis on “Good Morning America” and his titillating promise of “certainly more tapes.”

No matter what comes of this latest anti-Trump frenzy, the elephant in the room is indeed this: What kind of lawyer does tape his client?

Obviously, a lawyer like Cohen. But let’s hope there are few other lawyers out there, treating their clients in similar manner.
