BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Vice President Mike Pence is visiting Montana to help Republican U.S. Senate candidate Matt Rosendale raise money for his campaign to oust Democratic incumbent Jon Tester.
Pence arrived in Billings Tuesday afternoon for a Rosendale fundraiser at an undisclosed location that is closed to the media and the public.
The vice president also is scheduled to speak Wednesday morning at Billings’ MetraPark Montana Pavilion to promote President Donald Trump’s tax cuts.
Pence’s visit follows a rally earlier this month in Great Falls by Trump to promote Rosendale’s candidacy. Trump’s eldest child, Donald Trump Jr., also has traveled to Montana to campaign for Rosendale, the state auditor.
Tester is one of 10 Senate Democrats running for re-election in states that Trump won in 2016.
