A recount of ballots for the June 26 Democratic primary for Montgomery County executive has found that County Councilmember Marc Elrich defeated businessman David Blair by 77 votes.
The county Board of Elections announced the results Tuesday. The board had certified Mr. Elrich as the winner, by 79 votes, on July 16.
Mr. Blair requested the recount after some voters expressed concern about frustrations on Election Day and during the early voting period.
Mr. Elrich said on Facebook that he had spoken with Mr. Blair, who congratulated him on the victory.
