Free agent forward Mike Scott will not be returning to the Wizards next season, agreeing Monday to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Scott, 29, was a pleasant surprise last season for the Wizards, who signed him on a minimum deal last summer. The 6-foot-8 forward could stretch the floor and shot a career-high 40.5 percent from deep.
He averaged 8.8 points in 18.5 minutes per game.
The Clippers also acquired former Wizards center Marcin Gortat last week, trading Austin Rivers to Washington.
The Wizards claimed Thomas Bryant off waivers from the Los Angeles Lakers.
