HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut officials say a city employee was attacked while trying to close the gates to a park.
Hartford police say the assault happened at Goodwin Park Saturday night.
The city Department of Public Works employee told police he was closing the park gate when he was punched and kicked several times by three or four people.
The assailants fled on foot, and the employee was hospitalized for treatment.
The employee is listed in stable condition.
Police are currently searching for the suspects, who are believed to be all juvenile males.
