INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana Black Expo is moving its free Summer Celebration concert Friday indoors because of a threat of severe weather.

The move announced Thursday means no more than 8,000 people can attend the show at the Indiana Convention Center, in contrast to the crowds estimated at 30,000 for the outdoor shows on the American Legion Mall in recent years.

It also means concert-goers must obtain complimentary tickets that were being distributed Thursday and Friday at the convention center box office. Each person can receive two tickets to the show featuring Stephanie Mills, After 7 and Loose Ends.

Attendees may not bring their own food or drink. Food and drink will be sold at the convention center.

Stormy conditions in 2015 damaged the stage and prompted a cancellation of the free concert.
