MAGNOLIA, Miss. (AP) - A New Orleans-bound train has collided with a vehicle in Mississippi.

WLBT-TV reports that the train slammed into the truck in Magnolia on Sunday, missing the driver as he ran to safety. Tina Reed with the Mississippi Emergency Management Association says no one was injured.

Train records from Amtrak’s website show that the train left Jackson just before 11 a.m. and had been traveling at more than 70 miles an hour when it struck the vehicle.

An Amtrak spokesman says the train made it to New Orleans later than expected.
