CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A pair of New Hampshire congresswomen says the U.S. Department of Labor is providing more than $200,000 to help with employment services for homeless veterans.
Democratic Reps. Carol Shea-Porter and Annie Kuster say the money is going to Easterseals NH from the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program. They say the money will help local agencies and nonprofit groups like Easterseals provide services such as on-the-job training and apprenticeships.
Kuster co-sponsored the Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Programs Reauthorization Act of 2018. That bill extends homeless veterans programs for five years.
