MSNBC correspondent Cal Perry showed up to a “Dump Trump” protest march in London on Friday and touted the “courageous” nature of its participants.
Objective reporting wasn’t on the docket in London on Friday as throngs of citizens passed by MSNBC’s on-site team.
“London is an international city,” Mr. Perry said. “You have some very politically active people of all ages. People have brought their kids out here and it feels a little bit like the beginning of the Women’s March, where the mood is still jovial, police are well back, but this is London.”
The correspondent then asked a passerby why she was marching against President Trump, who was nowhere near a 20-foot-high “Trump baby” balloon and the crowds in Parliament Square.
“Because Trump doesn’t deserve to be here,” the activist said.
“Very good. How old are you?” Mr. Perry replied.
“Thirteen,” she said.
“You’re a very courageous girl for doing this. Thank you so much,” Mr. Perry concluded.
Mr. Trump spent the day meeting with Prime Minster Theresa May and Queen Elizabeth II.
