OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Some innovative solar cars will be in Omaha in July for the start of a 1,700-mile race to Oregon.
This year’s American Solar Challenge will begin in Omaha on July 14 and head west along parts of the Oregon Trail. Teams of college students built the cars that will compete.
The solar cars will be on display at the Lewis and Clark Landing in Omaha on July 13, a day before the race starts.
