ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - MaCio Teague scored 24 points and Ahmad Thomas reached a rare Big South Conference milestone to help UNC Asheville defeat Longwood 90-80 on Tuesday night.
With four assists, Thomas reached 203 for his career and became the second player in league history to surpass 1,000 points, 600 rebounds, 200 steals and 200 assists.
Thomas added 13 points and Jonathan Baehre and Raekwon Miller 12 each for the Bulldogs (9-8, 2-2), who are now 50-10 against Big South opponents at Kimmel Arena, which opened in the 2011-12 season.
Teague had 15 points and Baehre 12 in the first half and the Bulldogs had a 9-1 run over the last 2:22 for a 47-37 lead at the break.
Asheville built the lead to as much as 23 points before the Lancers had a late 14-2 run.
Charles Glover had 19 points for the Lancers (4-13, 1-3) and Isaiah Walton had 16.
