SEATTLE (AP) - The city of Seattle has agreed to pay $220,000 to two former library security guards who claimed a manager kissed them and failed to investigate inappropriate behavior from a co-worker.

The Seattle Times reports Yolanda Cooper and Michelle Chun Fook filed the lawsuit in federal court in 2016, claiming they were sexually and racially harassed and subjected to a hostile work environment.

The former Seattle Central Library employees claimed a co-worker forced Fook to sit on his lap, and he spanked her.

The city later fired the co-worker, and the manager now works in a different city department. The two men were dismissed from the suit after agreeing to pay $14,000 to the women.

Seattle officials say the city did not admit to any wrongdoing in the settlement.
