The Chicago Bears announced Monday that Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy has been hired to fill Chicago’s coaching vacancy.

Nagy will replace John Fox as Bears coach. Fox was fired after Chicago finished last in the NFC North with a 5-11 record. The Bears missed the playoffs for the seventh consecutive season.
A former arena football quarterback, Nagy served on Kansas City’s coaching staff for five seasons. He became the team’s sole offensive coordinator and primary play caller in 2017. The Chiefs won the AFC West for the second year in a row.
