DOVER, Del. (AP) - Authorities in Delaware are searching for an inmate on work release who failed to return to his correctional facility.

WMDT-TV reported Friday that the Delaware Department of Correction issued a warrant for 53-year-old Michael Coker. Officials said he escaped from Morris Community Correctional Center in Dover.

He was supposed to return to the facility on Wednesday. He is currently serving time for a probation violation.

The Morris Community Correctional Center allows for inmates to leave for work or to seek employment or for approved treatment sessions.

Coker is 6-feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and gray hair.
