Possibly the most significant statement from President Donald Trump last night in the House Chamber came after his historic State of the Union address.

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) got to Trump while the president was walking up the aisle of the great room and asked him to “release the memo.”

“Don’t worry,” the president responded. “100 percent.”

“Release the memo” has become a mantra and popular social media hashtag for Republicans interested in the now-classified memo crafted by the staff of Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. The memo is described as chilling in its description of how the FBI utilized the unverified “Russian Dossier” (a Clinton campaign propaganda document full of unverified opposition research on Donald Trump) to obtain a secret FISA wiretap on American citizens associated with Trump’s campaign.
