New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady cut his weekly radio appearance short Monday over comments made about his 5-year-old daughter from a member of the station.
WEII’s Alex Reimer referred to Brady’s daughter as an “annoying little pissant” Thursday, criticizing her on-screen appearance in Brady’s new documentary series.
WEII suspended Reimer for the remark, but Brady confronted hosts Kirk Minihane and Gerry Callahan on-air.
“Well, I think that — I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and have showed you guys a lot of respect,” Brady said. “I’ve always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys, so it’s very disappointing when you hear that, certainly. But my daughter or any child, they certainly don’t deserve that.”
Minihane then apologized to Brady, who said he wasn’t sure if he would continue to go on the show.
“I’ll obviously evaluate whether I want to come on this show again, so I really don’t have much to say this morning,” Brady said. “So, maybe I’ll speak with you guys some other time.”
