NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Alex Copeland scored 25 points, Trey Phills added 17 with a career-high nine rebounds, and Yale beat Dartmouth 74-64 on Saturday night.

Miye Oni scored 15 points with three 3-pointers and five assists for the Bulldogs (9-11, 2-2 Ivy League), who shot 50.9 percent from the field to Dartmouth’s 45.5 percent.

Copeland scored six in a 7-2 run for a 41-33 Yale lead and the Bulldogs led 50-44 on his layup with 11:37 to play. Dartmouth closed to 57-52 on Brendan Barry’s free throws, but Oni bracketed two 3s around a 3 by Phills and Yale led 70-59 on Paul Atkinson’s dunk with 1:10 left.

Chris Knight’s layup capped a 10-2 run and Dartmouth led 18-13, but Yale pulled ahead 23-20 on a 10-2 run and led 36-31 at halftime on Azar Swain’s 3-pointer.

Taylor Johnson scored 15 points with a career-high seven assists, Knight had 12 points, Ian Sistare 11, and Miles Wright 10 for the Big Green (4-13, 0-5), who have lost seven straight.
