ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) - Matt Morgan scored 29 points including the game-clinching free throws with three seconds left and Cornell beat Columbia 82-81 for its first Ivy League win Saturday.

An 8-0 surge gave Cornell a 69-64 lead with 5:24 to go and the Big Red clung to the lead with Morgan’s free throws making it 82-78 before Gabe Stefanini hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Morgan had Cornell’s last field goal with 4:50 left with the Big Red then making 11 of 12 free throws.

Morgan extended his school-record streak of double-figure games to 40. Stone Gettings added 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Cornell (7-10, 1-3), which avenged an 88-62 loss to the Lions (4-13, 1-3) the previous Saturday. The Lions tied a program-record with 16 3-pointers in that win but were just 7 of 25 from the arc in the loss.

Stefanini led Columbia with 19 points.
