SEATTLE (AP) - Aaron Menzies scored 16 points and 10 rebounds for his ninth double-double this season and Seattle held off Cal State Bakersfield 59-55 on Friday night.

Seattle had a nine-point lead with three minutes left when Bakersfield’s Damiyne Durham scored seven straight points, capped by a 3-pointer with 1:21 remaining. After a Seattle free throw, Jordan Hill blocked a 3-point attempt by Durham with Scott Ulaneo then making two free throws for a 58-53 Seattle lead with 10 seconds left. Bakersfield got a basket with two seconds remaining before a Seattle free throw.

Hill added 11 points and Matej Kavas 10 for the Redhawks (15-8, 4-2 Western Athletic Conference), who have won four of their last five games and snapped a five-game losing streak to the Roadrunners (8-13, 1-5).

Shon Briggs had 14 points and Durham 13 for Bakersfield.

Seattle led the entire second half. Its largest lead was 10.
