Hillary Clinton wants all the feminists of the world to know she is thankful for their support. Well and good. But it’s the way she does it that’s a — well, it’s freaking odd, that’s what it is.

In a video, the former secretary of state — the former U.S. presidential candidate — Clinton said: “Hey everyone, I just wanted to say thanks. Thanks for your feminism, for your activism, and all I can hope is you keep up the really important, good work. … And let me just say, this is directed to the activist b—ches supporting b—ches, so let’s go.”

That last came in response to an off-screen shout of “activist b—ches supporting b—ches,” after which Clinton laughed.

The video was first posted to Twitter on Friday by Huffington Post writer Alex Mohajer, shortly after the New York Times published a story about a top adviser who worked on Clinton’s 2008 campaign who managed to keep his political position, despite the fact he was accused of sexual harassment.

It’s not clear when the video was shot.

What is clear?

Clinton’s remarks — calling out women as b—ches — are both off-putting and uncomfortable. What’s next, Clinton goes gangsta?

It’s not as if Clinton’s known for her Miss Manners style of etiquette-ing. But come on. Surely even she has limits.

Calling out other women as b—ches just seems a good boundary to draw.
