BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - Mike Daum tossed in 23 points, including two free throws with 21 seconds left in the game, and South Dakota State hung on for a 78-76 victory over Fort Wayne on Saturday.

Daum added 14 rebounds, giving him double-doubles in six of his last seven games and 12 this season for the Jackrabbits (18-6, 6-1 Summit League). Tevin King added 11 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double. Reed Tellinghuisen and Skyler Flatten each chipped in with 12 points and seven boards and David Jenkins Jr. had 10 points as all five South Dakota State starters scored in double figures.

John Konchar paced the Mastodons (14-10, 3-4) with 23 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Bryson Scott finished with 17 points and six boards, while Kason Harrell and Xzavier Taylor scored 12 and 10, respectively.

Fort Wayne shot just 28 percent, including 2 of 13 from 3-point range, and trailed 43-26 at intermission. The Mastodons trailed by seven when Konchar hit back-to-back buckets and Scott added a 3-point play to knot the score at 67 with 5:42 to play. Konchar’s 3-pointer with 51 seconds left gave Fort Wayne a 76-75 lead, but Konchar fouled Daum who sank the game-winning free throws.
