ROYALTON, Vt. (AP) - The parents of a missing Vermont teenager and state police say the 19-year-old man’s trailer was found abandoned on a road a few days after he went missing.

Vermont State Police are seeking information in the disappearance of Austin Colson, of Royalton, who was last seen the morning of Jan. 11. The utility trailer Colson was believed to have been using to collect scrap metal was found on a rural road in Sharon a few days after he went missing.

Police said initially they did not suspect foul play in the disappearance.

Colson’s mother says she is holding on hope for her son to come home, but is preparing for the worst.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Vermont State Police.
