CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The first meeting of Republican Gov. Chris Sununu’s new Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Statehouse.
The council will work to review state laws, regulations and policies and recommend changes to further combat discrimination and promote diversity and inclusion.
Rogers Johnson, the state coordinator of the New Hampshire NAACP, chairs the council. On Thursday, Sununu also named 16 members, including the heads of the Education, Health and Human Services, Safety, Administrative Services, Attorney General, and Labor departments.
Members of higher education, law enforcement, the ACLU, municipalities, and various groups also have been named.
