ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The city of Albany is celebrating the 90th birthday of one of its most famous sons.
Pulitzer Prize-winning writer William Kennedy turned 90 earlier this month. The milestone will be celebrated Wednesday night at Albany’s city hall.
Kennedy’s series of Albany novels includes “Ironweed,” which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1984.
The event also marks the 35th Anniversary of the New York State Writers Institute.
