TULSA, Okla. (AP) - DaQuan Jeffries finished with career highs of 24 points and 11 rebounds to notch his first double-double and propel Tulsa to a 64-51 victory over Memphis on Saturday night.
Jeffries connected on 8 of 15 shots, including 3 of 4 from long range, for the Golden Hurricane (11-9, 4-4 American Conference). Jaleel Wheeler added 13 points, five rebounds and three steals for Tulsa, while Corey Henderson Jr. and Martins Igbanu scored 12 and 11, respectively.
Kyvon Davenport totaled 21 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season for the Tigers (13-7, 4-3). Jeremiah Martin scored 14 and Mike Parks Jr. added 11 points and seven boards.
Memphis trailed 33-20 at intermission after shooting just 26 percent (8 of 31) from the floor, including 2 of 14 from 3-point range. On the night, the Tigers shot 35 percent from the floor - 16 percent from distance - and 57 percent at the free-throw line (12 of 21).
Tulsa forced 20 turnovers and had a 25-12 advantage in points off turnovers.
