PROVO, Utah (AP) - TJ Haws scored 24 points and BYU rallied past San Diego, 74-58 in a West Coast Conference battle Saturday night.

BYU now has won four straight after an upset loss at Pacific on Jan. 6.

The Cougars took a 35-26 lead at intermission, but San Diego opened the second half on a 17-8 run to tie the game at 43-43 on Isaiah Pineiro’s 3-pointer with 12:44 left. Yoeli Childs knocked down a 3 to start an 8-0 surge to put BYU back in front to stay. Jahshire Hardnett’s 3-point play with 3:26 left gave the Cougars a 67-54 advantage.

Hardnett finished with 17 points for BYU, with Childs and Elijah Bryant adding 14 and 13 points, respectively.

BYU (17-4, 6-2) will attempt to avenge its two conference losses with a rematch with Saint Mary’s Thursday and Pacific on Saturday.

San Diego (13-7, 4-4) got 14 points from Olin Carter III, 13 from Isaiah Wright and 12 from Pineiro.
