CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Concord Hospital has spent more than $50 million the past year on community services, much of it on subsidizing a range of health services.
The hospital announced this week that it had spent $51.5 million in fiscal year 2017. The biggest share of that went to what the hospital calls subsidized health services, with more than $40 million going to a range of programs including $11 million for behavioral health services. Another $9.8 million went to the Concord Hospital Family Center, which provides medical and dental care to over 11,000 patients.
It also spent nearly $4.4 million on health and professional education as well as $3.7 million on charitable care, which offers free or discounted medical care to 4,500 low-income, uninsured or under insured residents.
