RENO, Nev. (AP) - Police say they arrested 14 people of the thousands of revelers who welcomed the New Year in downtown Reno.
Reno officers on Sunday night arrested seven people for driving under the influence. Others were arrested for drug charges, disturbing the peace, carrying an open alcohol container and a battery charge.
Officer Tim Broadway said in a release that one person was arrested for an outstanding warrant and another was cited for urinating in public.
Police say overall the thousands of people who celebrated in downtown Reno were positive and there were no major incidents.
