The Republican National Committee has not always hit the mark on clever and effective messaging or social media tactics when combating with their Democrat counterparts. But this move might be a sign that the GOP is moving in the right direction.

As Americans watch in wonder as a handful of Dems stand in the way of keeping the federal government funded over their desire to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants, RNC Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel has installed a Facebook Live feed playing Democrats reacting in the most alarming and hyperbolic rhetoric over government shutdowns over the past several years.

The video plays in an endless loop and is being liked/loved/laughed at and shared across social media.

Take a look at Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) lamenting Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) holding up a funding provision in 2013 over Obamacare. “You know, we could do the same thing on immigration. We believe strongly in immigration reform. We could say, ‘We’re shutting down the government, we’re not gonna raise the debt ceiling, until you pass immigration reform.’ It would be governmental chaos.”

Nice move, GOP.
