SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Syracuse’s schedule for the upcoming football season includes seven teams that played in a bowl game this past season.
The Orange, who have finished each of the past three seasons at 4-8, open Sept. 1 at Western Michigan in the first-ever meeting between the programs. FCS foe Wagner then visits the Carrier Dome the following week to begin a three-game homestand that also includes the ACC opener, against Florida State, and a nonconference game against Connecticut.
The Orange hit the road again for a game against defending ACC champion Clemson on Sept. 29 and travel to Pittsburgh the next week before a bye week.
North Carolina and North Carolina State visit on the final two weekends of October. Those games are followed by a road game against Wake Forest and the home finale on Nov. 9 against Louisville.
Syracuse plays Notre Dame on Nov. 17 at Yankee Stadium and closes the season a week later at Boston College.
