OPINION:
An illegal immigrant facing murder charges for the killing of two law enforcement officers in Northern California went off the rails during his most recent court hearing and said, with a grin on his face, “I wish I had killed more,” Fox News reported.
This is what the sanctuary-loving left wants to shelter from the deportation storm?
Luis Enrique Monroy Bracamontes, 37, is a Mexican citizen who stands accused of killing two officers, Sacramento Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Davis Jr., in 2014 — at a time when he was in America illegally.
His past court appearances have been marked by strange outbursts where he blurted even stranger statements and mocked everyone from witnesses to members of the media.
But this latest outburst is horrific.
“I wish I had killed more of the mother—s,” Bracamontes said to the court, according to Fox. “I will break out soon ad I will kill more, kill whoever gets in front of me. … There’s no need for a f—ing trial.”
His wife, 41-year-old Janelle Monroy, also faces charges tied to the officers’ murder. Her defense? She claims victimhood, saying she was abused by her husband, who used drugs.
Meanwhile, Bracamontes’ attorneys want him treated as a mental patient, incapable of self-control and therefore inculpable of Murder One charges. But that point just digs Dems in deeper on their whole sanctuary city lovefest. That just shows the more dire need to control borders, crack down on illegals — and keep out those who seek to do harm to U.S. citizens.
It also gives wings to the idea of prosecuting those government officials who demand sanctuary status for their jurisdictions.
There’s a crucial line of thought the Democrats are missing in their whole argument to protect the illegal community at the expense of U..S. citizenry, and it’s one that goes like this: The crimes illegals commit never would have occurred if they hadn’t been in the country in the first place.
Sheriff’s Deputies Oliver and Davis would very likely be alive if Bracamontes hadn’t been in-country illegally. And that’s just something the amnesty lovers and open-border lefties don’t want to even acknowledge.
