CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire officials say the state’s unemployment rate for December was 2.6 percent, a slight decrease from the November rate of 2.7 percent.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for December 2016 was 2.7 percent.

The state estimates that 724,510 people were employed last month, a decrease of 1,900 from the previous month and a decrease of 6,290 from December 2016. The number of unemployed residents decreased by 480 over the month to 19,530, which was 990 fewer people than in December 2016.

Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for December was 4.1 percent, unchanged from the November rate. It was a decrease of 0.6 percentage points from December 2016 rate.
