SAN DIEGO (AP) - Authorities say a man was arrested for impersonating an anesthesiologist at a California hospital.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports a security alert from Sharp Grossmont Hospital in San Diego says the man was found Thursday in the hospital’s doctor’s lounge dressed in blue scrubs and a white physician’s coat bearing the Sharp logo. The man also had with him a stethoscope, a cellphone with Arabic messages on the screen and a set of rental keys to a Mercedes-Benz.

The man’s LinkedIn profile said he was a graduate of Harvard Medical School and had been a physician at Sharp for more than a year.

Jail records say the man was arrested on suspicion of false impersonation and attempting to practice without a license.
