TEANECK, N.J. (AP) - Police say three New Jersey teenagers lured a Ridgefield man trying to sell sneakers to Teaneck and then beat and robbed the man.

Teaneck police said Wednesday that the 20-year-old victim arraigned the “sale” via Instagram to sell a pair of sneakers on Jan. 3. The Record reports when the victim went to meet the prospective buyer, the teenager snatched the shoes and fled.

When the victim ran after the thief, he was ambushed and attacked by the group of suspects. Police say the victim suffered minor injuries to his face and arms.

Township police arrested all three suspects within a day of the attack, with one of the teenagers turning himself in to authorities. All three men were charged with robbery, luring and conspiracy.
