FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Joe Rosga scored 15 points and Denver pulled away early in the second half and cruised to a 67-61 victory over North Dakota State on Thursday night for its first Summit League victory.
Denver (7-10, 1-2) used a 15-0 run, including three straight 3-pointers, spanning both halves for a 41-22 lead early in the second. Jake Pemberton scored five points and Ade Murkey had four during the stretch. The Pioneers held a double-digit lead until the last five minutes.
Paul Miller scored 20 points to lead North Dakota State (9-8, 1-2). His 3-pointer with 1:41 left pulled the Bison to 65-59, but they didn’t get closer.
Pemberton added 14 points and Daniel Amigo had 13 for Denver. Murkey scored 10 of his 12 points in the first half.
A.J. Jacobson and Tyson Ward chipped in 11 points apiece for the Bison.
