President Trump slammed Sen. Dianne Feinstein on Wednesday after she released testimony from the research firm behind the unverified dossier.
“The fact that Sneaky Dianne Feinstein, who has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found, would release testimony in such an underhanded and possibly illegal way, totally without authorization, is a disgrace. Must have tough Primary!” Mr. Trump tweeted.
Ms. Feinstein, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, released the testimony of Glenn Simpson, Fusion GPS co-founder, on Tuesday to prove there was no political motivation behind the inquiry into Mr. Trump or his campaign.
The dossier, released in full by BuzzFeed, allegedly showed evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, but also included salacious information about the president.
“The innuendo and misinformation circulating about the transcript are part of a deeply troubling effort to undermine the investigation into potential collusion and obstruction of justice,” the California Democrat said in a statement.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi congratulated Ms. Feinstein for her actions.

“Congratulations to California’s own @SenFeinstein on officially earning her own @realDonaldTrump nickname. Clearly doing something right! #FollowTheFacts,” Ms. Pelosi tweeted.
Republicans were not pleased with Ms. Feinstein’s actions, however, and accused her of undermining the committee’s work.
A spokesman for Sen. Chuck Grassley, who chairs the Judiciary Committee, said Ms. Feinstein’s actions were “confounding.”
“Her action undermines the integrity of the committee’s oversight work and jeopardizes its ability to secure candid voluntary testimony relating to the independent recollections of future witnesses,” Taylor Foy, Mr. Grassley’s spokesman, said in a statement.
