Disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was slapped twice in the face by an irate man at an Arizona restaurant, according to video released Wednesday by TMZ.

Mr. Weinstein was dining with his sober coach Tuesday evening at Elements restaurant in Scottsdale when he was attacked on his way out by an intoxicated man, TMZ reported.

The man, Steve, told the gossip news site that he had “quite a bit to drink” that night and had instructed his friend to start recording with his cellphone before he approached Mr. Weinstein.

Video of the incident showed Steve landing two backhanded slaps on Mr. Weinstein’s face.

“You’re a piece of s—-,” Steve told the film producer. “Get the f—- out of here.”

Mr. Weinstein appeared confused by the assault and proceeded to leave the restaurant while another man, presumably his sober coach, attempted to block the encounter from being recorded.

The person who filmed the incident told TMZ that he asked Mr. Weinstein if he wanted to call the police, but Mr. Weinstein declined and everyone left.

Mr. Weinstein has been accused of sexual assault and harassment by more than 50 women. Dubbed the “Weinstein effect,” the film producer’s rapid downfall led to an avalanche of sexual misconduct allegations in the entertainment and media industries.

He has reportedly been receiving mental health treatment in Arizona since October.
