HOUSTON (AP) - Jalone Friday scored 23 points, including a go-ahead 3-point play, Jaylen Franklin added 22 with six assists, and Abilene Christian beat Houston Baptist 82-74 on Wednesday night.

Jaren Lewis scored 16 points with three steals, Drake Green added 11 points with three 3s off the bench, and the Wildcats (11-7, 3-2 Southland Conference) shot 54.5 percent from the floor.

Braxton Bonds’s jumper put the Huskies up 48-42, but the Wildcats tied it twice before taking a 67-65 lead on Friday’s 3 with 4:20 left. The lead traded hands before Friday’s back-to-back 3-point plays sparked a 13-6 run capped by Hayden Farquhar’s layup for a six-point Abilene Christian lead with 24 seconds to go. Tevin Foster sealed it with two free throws.

Houston Baptist led 37-36 at halftime behind David Caraher’s back-to-back 3s.

Bonds scored 19 points and Ian DuBose added 17 with three 3s for the Huskies (4-13, 0-4), who have lost six straight. Caraher had 16 points.
