Vice President Mike Pence’s scheduled trip to Israel has been postponed indefinitely, according to a report in Monday’s edition of The Times of Israel.
The report cites a list of foreign dignitaries published by the Israeli Foreign Ministry scheduled to visit Israel in January, and Mr. Pence’s name did not appear on the list. According to Israeli officials, Mr. Pence’s visit has been delayed “due to various scheduling difficulties.”
Mr. Pence was originally scheduled to visit Israel in December, but postponed due to the vote on the GOP tax bill. His visit was then set for the week of January 14, with Mr. Pence traveling to Egypt as well as Israel.
A spokesperson for Mr. Pence refuted the report that the vice president was postponing his trip again, telling The Hill that Mr. Pence “is still going in January.”
