Quinton Dunbar has signed a three-year contract extension with the Redskins, the cornerback announcing the move via Instagram on Monday.

The deal is reportedly worth $10.5 million ($5.25 million guaranteed), and includes a $3 million bonus.

A wide receiver during his collegiate career at Florida, Dunbar joined the Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2015, Washington moving him to cornerback upon signing him. The 25-year old played 15 games for the Redskins in 2017, starting four of them, and recorded 30 solo tackles, eight passes defended, and an interception.

According to reports, the Dunbar signing indicates Washington will allow cornerback Bashaud Breeland to test the free agent market. The four-year veteran has been a regular starter in the Redskins secondary since Washington drafted him in 2014, but the team’s depth at cornerback means the Clemson product may depart this offseason.
