FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a 58-year-old man was pulled from Lake Lanier in north Georgia a day after he had last been seen.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Hall County sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said the body of John Lawrence Stanford of Conyers was found in the water at Aqualand Marina around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Wilbanks said Stanford had been staying on a friend’s boat and the friend found his body. He said there are no obvious signs of trauma and no foul play is suspected.

Stanford had last been seen Saturday.

An investigation into Stanford’s death was ongoing.
