OPINION:
Omarosa Manigault-Newman, who used to be one of President Donald Trump’s biggest fans, apparently now can’t stand the sight of him.
What’s changed? Well, she was pressured-into-leaving-slash-quit her cushy White House aide job, for one.
And reportedly, she was pressured-into-leaving-slash-quit because her nasty, entitled, power-hungry disposition was causing too much angst and turmoil within the White House walls.
This is the same woman who used to take to CNN to defend Trump — the same woman who has only Trump to thank for her public profile in the first place. Had she not appeared on “The Apprentice” TV show in 2004 — where her nasty, entitled, power-hungry disposition first came to widespread light — very likely nobody would’ve heard of Manigault-Newman.
So much for loyalty and gratitude.
When asked on the season premiere of “Celebrity Big Brother” if she would vote again for Trump, she said: “God no, never. Not in a million years. Never.”
She also suggested America ought be afraid, be very afraid of this Trump presidency.
“It’s going to not be OK,” she said, when asked if Americans should worry about the president, The Hill reported. “It’s so bad.”
When is this woman going to disappear from the public stage?
The White House shot back at her nasty, entitled comments via a statement from deputy press secretary Raj Shah that went like this: “Omarosa was fired three times on ’The Apprentice,’ and this was the fourth time we let her go. She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now.”
And likely that’s why she’s striking a fighting tone in the public eye — battling to find new relevancy by taking easy pot shots at the very president who gave her a platform to speak in the first place.
