ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) - Kendrick Nunn scored 21 of his 28 points in the second half to help Oakland beat Detroit Mercy 87-78 on Friday night.
Oakland (16-10, 8-5 Horizon League) has won two in a row and seven of its last nine games. Detroit Mercy (7-19, 3-10) has lost six of its last seven.
Nunn, the second-leading scorer in the nation, made five 3-pointers, was 10 of 18 from the field and has scored 20 or more points in 19 games.
Jalen Hayes added 19 points and Martez Walker had 16 for the Golden Grizzlies. Isaiah Brock grabbed 10 rebounds and chipped in eight points.
Kameron Chatman scored 23 points to lead the Titans. Roschon Prince added 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Oakland opened the second half on a 19-8 run for a 57-53 lead. Nunn scored 10 points during the surge, and his 3-pointer with 7:39 left made it a 10-point advantage.
The Titans pulled to 76-70, but Detroit missed six consecutive shots as Oakland closed on an 11-8 surge.
