Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski hinted that he could decide to retire this offseason, bringing an end to his NFL career after eight seasons.

“I am definitely going to look at my future for sure,” the 28-year-old told reporters Sunday night following New England’s 41-33 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII. “I am going to sit down the next couple weeks and see where I am at.”

Gronkowski has had an illustrious career, winning two Super Bowls and earning five Pro Bowl nods. However, he has also dealt with several serious injuries, most recently suffering a concussion in the AFC Championship Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Arizona product put in a strong performance Sunday night, catching nine passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns.

“I’m going to reflect on the season,” Gronkowski added. “Proud of the boys and just see what happens.”
