WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the death of a worker at an oilfield east of Williston.

Twenty-three-year-old Jared Rizzo died last Thursday after he was struck by a falling traveling block on a workover rig. Rizzo was an employee of Wisco Inc.

Bismarck Area OSHA office director Eric Brooks says an investigator is expected back at the site Monday.

The Bismarck Tribune says the last time OSHA investigated an oilfield fatality in North Dakota was January 2017.
