Justin Timberlake’s halftime show Sunday at Super Bowl LII went off without a hitch, or a wardrobe malfunction, prompting a sigh of relief from Federal Communications Commission chairman Ajit Pai.

Mr. Timberlake infamously exposed Janet Jackson after ripping off her top during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show in what was later attributed to a “wardrobe malfunction,” resulting in a $550,000 indecency fine from the FCC.
Mr. Timberlake performed this year without Ms. Jackson, but her father Joseph Jackson said earlier that he should have made amends by inviting her to share the stage.
“If he’s such a gentleman, he’d make sure Janet is there,” Mr. Jackson told the New York Post in a Saturday article.
Ms. Jackson release a statement prior to the Super Bowl saying, “To put to rest any speculation or rumors as to whether I will be performing at the Super Bowl tomorrow, I will not.”
