BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - Officials say a United Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at a Pennsylvania airport.
A spokesman for the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority tells WFMZ-TV the flight was headed to Los Angeles from Newark Liberty International Airport when the smell of smoke was detected onboard. The plane landed at Lehigh Valley International Airport shortly after taking off around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The plane landed without incident, and no injuries were reported.
It’s unclear what led to the smell of smoke.
