Ronda Rousey signed her contract with WWE Sunday night, after it was revealed earlier this year that she would join the wrestling label’s lineup.
But the moment on WWE’s “Elimination Chamber” wasn’t drama-free. Rousey slammed WWE Executive Vice President Paul “Triple H” Levesque through the table on which her contract waited.
The video above doesn’t show everything, but the backstory appears to be that “Monday Night Raw” general manager Kurt Angle told Rousey that WWE only signed her “as a precursor to getting revenge” against her, per Bleacher Report.
After starting out in judo and winning an Olympic bronze medal in that sport, Rousey famously won her first 12 mixed martial arts fights and was the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion before losing to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes.
Rousey also launched an acting career with appearances in “The Expendables 3,” “Furious 7” and “Entourage.” Her dual interests in fighting and acting made her move to WWE a good fit.
