DALLAS (AP) - Katie Lou Samuelson scored 23 points and top-ranked UConn wrapped up its fifth consecutive American Athletic Conference regular-season championship, using a 43-0 first-half run to rout SMU 80-36 on Saturday.
Nepheesa Collier added 16 points, Azura Stevens had 14 and Kia Nurse 13 for the Huskies (28-0, 15-0). McKenzie Adams led SMU (10-18, 4-11) with 10 points.
SMU scored the first five points and led 12-6 late in the first quarter, then UConn scored the next 43 points for a 49-12 lead. UConn set a program record for fewest points allowed in a quarter, the quarter format in its third NCAA season, by outscoring SMU 32-1 in the second period. SMU went from 4:13 remaining in the first quarter to 46 seconds into the third quarter without a field goal.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Kristy Wallace scored 19 points, Kalani Brown and Lauren Cox had double-doubles and Baylor its 24th straight game.
Brown had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Cox reversed that with 11 points and 12 boards in the first game for the Lady Bears (27-1, 17-0 Big 12) since clinching their eighth straight Big 12 title with a win at sixth-ranked Texas. It was Baylor’s 24th straight win against the Horned Frogs (18-10, 9-8).
Amy Okonkow led TCU with 13 points.
No. 6 TEXAS 72, IOWA STATE 59
AMES, Iowa (AP) - Ariel Atkins scored 20 points, Lashann Higgs had 14 and Texas held off Iowa State 72-59 for its eighth win in nine games.
Brooke McCarty added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Longhorns (23-5, 14-3 Big 12).
Bridget Carleton had 23 points for Iowa State (12-16, 6-11) in its home finale.
No. 10 UCLA 78, UTAH 71, OT
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Jordin Canada had 22 points and 14 assists, leading UCLA past Utah.
Monique Billings had 24 points and 10 rebounds for her 45th career double-double for the Bruins (23-6, 14-4 Pac-12). Emily Potter had 24 points for Utah (17-12, 8-10).
Utah’s Tilar Clark got her own rebound and made a layup with 1.4 seconds, tying it at 65 and sending the game to overtime. Canada had a key three-point play in the extra session.
UCLA celebrated the 40th anniversary of the 1968 AIAW national championship team led by Ann Meyers Drysdale. She was in attendance and gave a speech.
No. 18 SOUTH FLORIDA 84, CINCINNATI 65
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Maria Jespersen had 26 points and a season-high 16 rebounds for South Florida.
Kitija Laska added 22 points for the Bulls (24-5, 13-2 American Athletic Conference). They will take a nine-game winning streak into their regular-season finale at No. 1 UConn on Monday night.
Ana Owens had 15 points for Cincinnati (17-11, 9-6).
No. 23 BELMONT 84, TENNESSEE STATE 42
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Kylee Smith scored 30 points on 12-of-16 shooting and added 10 rebounds and Belmont ended the regular season with its 37th straight Ohio Valley Conference victory.
Darby Maggard added 17 points to help the Bruins (28-3, 18-0) win their 19th in a row.
Tia Wooten had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Tennessee State (6-21, 4-14).
No. 25 OKLAHOMA STATE 79, WEST VIRGINIA 69
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Loryn Goodwin scored 12 of her 22 points in a mid-game rally, and Braxtin Miller matched a career-high 23 points for Oklahoma State.
Kaylee Jensen added 17 points and 17 rebounds to help Oklahoma State (19-9, 10-7 Big 12) end a three-game losing streak. Teana Muldrow led West Virginia (20-0, 8-9) with 23 points.
